From board meetings to handmade markets, from fitness classes to choir rehearsals, from wine tastings to cabaret shows - there's a space for everyone at the Joinery!

We've welcomed hundreds of hirers into our flexible and friendly spaces, and we're proud to offer affordable, sustainable and inclusive venue hire to the people of Adelaide. We love our hirers - and they love us, too!

"On The Fly is a not for profit organisation that is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, supportive community and an outlet for creative expression and performance.  We teach Improv to promote collaboration, connection to yourself and others, creative thinking and to retain a sense of play. We are grateful to have found a venue that aligns with our values and supports our needs.

The sense of community and environmental preservation the spaces present, with the building containing the sustainable cafe and catering Foodprint Experience, which also has a community focus along with having positive impacts on the environment, is an excellent fit.

We require a variety of configurations across all classes. The Exhibition room has a large open area, chairs and a raised area in which we can collaborate easily due to the flexibility of being able to change the configuration in a variety of ways.

The bookings managers are friendly, pleasant and accommodate needs and preferences wherever possible. We feel like they are working with us to achieve our goals.

The central location is handy to accommodate members who use public transport.

Hire fees are affordable which allows us to provide classes which are not cost-prohibitive, meaning everyone can get involved! We, as a not-for-profit community organisation, really value that!"
